🔻American voters go to the polls under the shadow of Iran war

🔻Public opinion polls show that Donald Trump’s war with Iran is deeply unpopular.
His gamble has driven prices sharply up and has sparked protests from Democrats and Republicans. They say Donald Trump is waging war without congressional authorization. There is no sign that the vital Strait of Hormuz will be reopened soon. Diesel fuel and gasoline, food items, and chemical fertilizers have all been affected by the war.
When the United States, with Israel’s support, entered the war in February, they said everything would be over within four to six weeks. Donald Trump says that “one of the biggest things we’ve done” is preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
The United States’ attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities in 2025 caused significant damage, but intermittent negotiations this year have made little progress.
Despite tactical success in destroying parts of Iran’s arsenal, the war is considered a strategic defeat for Donald Trump. This war has only made Iran’s leaders more stubborn and bolder. Americans go to the polls as reports have been published that escalation of tensions is on the agenda.
