Reuters, on Wednesday, the eighth of Mehr, citing a source familiar with the talks, reported that Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, met with Qatari mediators in Doha on Tuesday evening and received the United States’ response to the proposed “seven-day confidence-building” plan.

According to the source, Araghchi will convey the U.S. response to Tehran on Wednesday.

The report also said that the document under discussion is a seven-day plan to build trust and return to the strengthened version of the “Islamabad Understanding,” which Tehran and Washington signed in June.

The source told Reuters: “The main disagreement between us and Tehran is not about the elements of the seven-day program, but about the order in which the actions are carried out.”
