Qatar’s prime minister in Tehran; Pezeshkian and Qalibaf said they would implement the memorandum; Razai threatened

🔸 Masoud Pezeshkian, president, and Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, head of the parliament and Iran’s chief negotiator, both emphasized implementing the provisions of the Islamabad memorandum in meetings with Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, who traveled to Tehran with the aim of mediating between Iran and the United States.

🔸 On Thursday afternoon, the 5th of Shahrivar, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a conversation with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, referring to Doha’s efforts to mediate and establish peace in the region, said that Iran is not seeking war or expanding the conflict.

🔸 The president of Iran, referring to the memorandum signed in Islamabad between Tehran and Washington, said: “Reason dictates that the implementation of the memorandum should be resumed in the same manner as before, and that issues should be resolved through dialogue.”

🔸 Meanwhile, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, head of Iran’s parliament, in a meeting with Qatar’s foreign minister, while stressing the “pointlessness of the plan to economically besiege Iran,” said that the United States should carry out the conditions it committed to based on the Islamabad memorandum.

🔸 The Islamic Republic’s chief negotiator claimed that the U.S. government “makes wrong decisions based on false information.” The head of Iran’s parliament also, like the president, emphasized the need to return to the Islamabad memorandum and implement its provisions.

🔸 The memorandum ending the war between Iran and the United States, known as the “Islamabad Memorandum,” was signed in the early hours of Thursday, 28 Khordad 1405, by the presidents of Iran and the United States.
