The Czech foreign ministry summoned the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran after Radio Farda was described as a “military target”

🔸One day after statements by the Iranian Armed Forces’ spokesperson saying that some Persian-language media abroad, including Radio Farda, have been placed in a “bank of military targets,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic summoned the ambassador of the Islamic Republic.

🔸This news was announced by Péter Mateschko, the foreign minister of the Czech Republic, on Thursday, the fifth of Shahrivar.

🔸According to the senior diplomat of the Czech Republic, the soon-to-be head of the Middle East unit of the Czech foreign ministry is scheduled to host the Iranian ambassador and explain a new threat.

🔸On Wednesday, the fourth of Shahrivar, Abolfazl Sheykharchi, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces, in a video interview with the news agency “Defa-e Moghadas,” claimed that networks such as “BBC Persian,” “Iran International,” and “Radio Farda” are directly connected to the “Mossad,” the “CIA,” and “enemy intelligence organizations.”

🔸According to him, “the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic do not regard these news outlets as media,” and those who work at these outlets, in his view, are “like Zionist and American soldiers,” and “they can even be anticipated in their military targets bank.”

🔸The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces accused Persian-language media abroad of carrying out “every bloodshed and violence in the world with their support,” and, as he claimed, these media have “thrown the soul of humankind into turmoil.”

🔸Meanwhile, considering Radio Farda’s presence in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, the country’s security forces are working on assessing the information available.

🔸Carla Mračková, the Czech government spokesperson, and Adela Dietmannová, the spokesperson for the Czech Ministry of the Interior, while confirming the issue, emphasized that they cannot share any further details at present.

🔸At the same time, Lubomír Metnar, the Czech Minister of the Interior, also told local media that the institution managed by him and the police of the Czech Republic are continuously monitoring and assessing the situation in broader dimensions beyond the borders of this country. According to this Czech government official, appropriate measures will be taken according to the circumstances.
