🔶 Pezeshkian and Qatar’s prime minister met in New York

Masoud Pezeshkian met on Friday, 3 Mehr (25 September), at his residence in New York with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region and efforts to reduce tensions. In this meeting, creating a "suitable environment for dialogue" was one of the main topics of the talks.

The two sides also exchanged views on ways to help "strengthen regional security and stability."

In recent months, Qatar has been one of the active players in regional diplomatic efforts, and the country’s mediating role in talks related to Iran and regional crises has drawn attention.
