🔸Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Defense Secretary, on Tuesday evening rejected a report by CNN about the consumption of 80% of the inventory of the U.S. defensive missile interceptors of the “THAAD” system.

🔸He wrote on X, posting an image showing CNN’s headline in this regard: “That headline is not correct, CNN, shame on you.”

🔸In its report, the network said, citing several informed sources, that the stockpiles of the main U.S. air defense systems have been reduced sharply during the war with Iran.

🔸CNN said, based on the latest report on the status of the stockpiles that two informed sources have told it that,

🔸the U.S. Army since the start of the war with Iran has consumed nearly 80% of the interceptor missile stockpile of the “THAAD” system compared to the pre-war level, and it has also used about half of the interceptor missiles of the Patriot system.
