Mourad Vasei, senior analyst at Iran International, said: «The Caspian Convention is one of the most shameful contemporary agreements of Iran, in which Iran’s rights and interests in the Caspian Sea have been ignored, and details of it have remained hidden from public opinion for years. Its approval in parliament could make it in the future much more difficult to revise or annul this shameful agreement.»
