Marad Vaisi, senior analyst at Iran International, said: “The Foreign Ministry spokesperson says that the Caspian Sea Convention was finalized and signed in 1997, but the question arises as to why its provisions have not been transparently published for the public during nearly three decades. This issue has been kept hidden from the media and official information channels over the past years.”
