More Asian-Pacific stock markets rose on Thursday, 22 Mordad after the announcement of a decline in the United States’ annual inflation rate in July compared with June.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 index gained 1.21% and South Korea’s Kospi rose 3.5%. China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen indices also increased by 0.28% and 0.62%, respectively.
In contrast, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.61% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 0.28%. At the same time, the value of the dollar against the yen remained nearly unchanged, with one dollar trading at about 159.32 yen.
