🔶 Kepler reports an increase in ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz

Based on data from the shipping information company Kepler, which tracks vessel movements, ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz increased on Thursday, August 13 (22 Mordad).

According to the institute, on Thursday, nine ships transited through the Strait of Hormuz. This figure is significantly higher compared to the day before (Mordad 21). On Wednesday, only five ships were recorded crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

As Kepler stated, out of the total nine ships that managed to transit on Thursday, five ships entered the Persian Gulf and four ships also moved toward the Gulf of Oman. According to the tracking company, “most of these transits have been carried out via the Iran shipping route.”

According to Kepler’s report, on Thursday 19 cargo ships with active location systems transited through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which, compared with 20 ships transiting on Wednesday, indicates an almost steady situation.
