🔸Johann Watzefull, Germany’s foreign minister, announced that this country, together with France and Britain, is prepared to hold talks with the Islamic Republic in order to prevent the country from obtaining nuclear weapons.

🔸He made these remarks after a meeting of eight European and regional countries in Istanbul, held on Friday, the first of Aban.

🔸Watzefull emphasized that Tehran must show serious readiness to reach a diplomatic and durable solution.

🔸In Shahrivar of this year, these three countries, along with the United States, referred the IAEA Board of Governors resolution to the UN Security Council for the first time in 20 years, due to Iran’s failure to comply with its obligations regarding nuclear reporting.

🔸Since the Israeli and U.S. attacks on its major nuclear facilities, Iran has not allowed inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency to return to the sites that were bombed.

🔸Iran has more than 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, and after the damage to its nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Fordo and Natanz during last year’s 12-day war, it has still not provided clarity regarding the fate of its stockpiles of enriched uranium.
