🔻As a result of heavy rainfall and flooding in the counties of Salmas and Maku in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province, at least three people, including a 10-year-old girl, have died as of the time this report was published.

According to Hamid Mahboobi, the managing director of the Red Crescent Society of West Azerbaijan, 24 residential houses in the areas of Salmas and Maku have been affected by flooding. Of these, seven houses were in the village of Olnlar in Maku and 17 houses were in villages in Salmas.

He also said that the body of the deceased girl was handed over to the relevant authorities after she was taken out of the vehicle trapped in the flood, and the injured were transferred to medical centers.
