🔻JD Vance, Vice President of Donald Trump, also admitted that, in his view, the reason for the Republicans’ defeat in the midterm elections is the war with Iran, and that his fellow party members should not ignore this central point in their discussions.

The U.S. vice president’s aide wrote in a long tweet: “The reason for our defeat was the war. The president himself said the same thing last night... Everyone knows why we lost. Any honest conversation about what we should do from here on must start from here.”

Hours after Mr. Vance’s tweet, Donald Trump also said that he agrees with a large part of his deputy’s views, even though if he were to go back to the past, he would again issue the order to wage war against Iran.

He added: “The war with Iran made diesel more expensive, and people were angry about that increase in prices—not about the war.”
