🔻Qatar’s prime minister: The Iran issue cannot remain without a solution

We previously reported that Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister warned that further escalation of military tensions in the Middle East aimed at achieving a better outcome in the United States and Israel’s war against Iran would not be successful, and they said they were aware of the continuation of their country’s mediation efforts.

Now we are sharing other parts of his remarks in which he said, “The Iran issue cannot remain without a solution,” adding, “We cannot tolerate another round of escalation of tensions.”

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani spoke at an event at Oxford University.

Qatar, together with Pakistan, are the main mediators between Iran and the United States.

The senior Qatari official’s remarks come as the United States carried out fresh airstrikes last night on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
