👈 Javier Blas, energy and commodities columnist at Bloomberg, citing “Russell Hardie,” the CEO of Vitol, has written that over the past 7 to 10 days, on average about 14 million barrels of oil and oil products have transited the Strait of Hormuz per day; including about 12 million barrels of crude oil and 2 million barrels of refined products.

Blas emphasized that this figure relates only to direct transit through Hormuz, while exports via alternative pipeline routes are calculated separately. Reuters has also estimated the recent volume of oil passing through Hormuz at about 14.2 million barrels per day, equivalent to nearly 80% of the pre-war level.
