ISNA news agency reported on Monday, 6 Mehr, that Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, is expected to meet the intermediaries in the talks with the United States on Monday morning, New York time.

According to ISNA, no representative from the United States will be present in the meeting, and Araqchi and the intermediaries are expected to review the latest proposals and views regarding the conditions of the negotiations.

The Islamic Republic had previously proposed that, in exchange for the release of Iran’s blocked funds and assets, the Strait of Hormuz be reopened as part of an agreement to end the war.

Earlier, Reuters, citing a source familiar with the negotiations, reported that the intermediaries are expected to hold separate talks with the United States and the Islamic Republic on Monday or Tuesday.
