🔺 Iran’s gas supply drops by “14%”; a harsher winter expected
▪ The managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company said there has been a 14% reduction in gas deliveries to the national grid in the first half of the current Persian year.
▪ Saeed Toukali did not specify the exact volume of the reduction in gas supply to the national grid, but an analysis of data from Iran’s Statistical Center by VOA shows that in the first half of last year, Iran’s average daily production of processed gas was 712 million cubic meters.
▪ Therefore, Iran’s average daily production of processed gas in the first half of this year has fallen by about 100 million cubic meters compared with the previous year.
▪ In recent years, Iran has exported gas to Iraq as well, at a level comparable to Turkey, but no report has yet been published on the status of Iran’s gas exports to Iraq this year.
