Iran International’s investigative report on the National Revolution of 1404 says the Islamic Republic has systematically used violent methods, including direct gunfire, threats of amputation, and burning or peeling the skin of protesters, because of nationalist tattoos.
Tattoos such as a signature attributed to Reza Shah Pahlavi, the Lion and Sun symbol, and nationalist slogans were among the cases that led to violent confrontations by the agents.
More details with Azadeh Akbari, a member of Iran International’s editorial team.
