U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, on Thursday, 9 Mehr, posted a video on X, writing: “In the United Nations General Assembly, I spoke about China’s and Russia’s veto against the panel of experts responsible for overseeing the snapback mechanism and helping implement it with regard to the Islamic Republic.”

He said: “These sanctions were imposed in response to Iran’s unlawful efforts to obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Waltz added: “China and Russia had previously voted in favor of six UN Security Council resolutions on this matter. Nevertheless, we will form our own panel of experts.”

He also said: “I invite all countries to join us to ensure that Tehran will never obtain a nuclear weapon.”
