UK counter-terrorism police announced on Thursday, 9 Mehr, that they had detained a dual-national British-Iranian citizen on suspicion of preparing terrorist actions.
The arrest was carried out as part of investigations into suspicious activities that took place on Sunday near the RAF Fairford airbase in western England.
Earlier, five British men, approximately 20 years old, were also detained near this base on suspicion of terrorism- and explosives-related crimes and were then released on bail.
Andy Burnham, the UK prime minister, had said on Wednesday that there were “strong indications” that Iran had a role in the Fairford incident, but police investigations into this case still
US forces have used the Fairford base to carry out attacks against the Islamic Republic.
