🔸India’s shipping minister said Tuesday, 13 Mordad, that a projectile struck a ship flying the Indian flag near Yemen, causing it to capsize and sink.

🔸Sarbananda Sonowal wrote in a message on the X network that all 14 crew members on the ship, including 13 Indian nationals, were rescued by the Yemeni coast guard and transferred to the port of Mocha.

🔸India’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that the merchant vessel named “MV Fiaz Noor Aliya” sank in the Red Sea off Yemen on 13 Mordad, and that the ministry is coordinating with Yemeni officials regarding the incident.

🔸Since the Houthi attacks on several Saudi oil tankers, Indian refineries have shifted to receiving Middle Eastern oil shipments on a delivered basis.

🔸Shipping in the Red Sea near the coasts of Yemen has been disrupted due to the actions of the Houthis aligned with Tehran. The Houthis have expanded the scope of the conflict between the United States and Iran by disrupting the export of Saudi oil. Previously, the supply of oil through the Strait of Hormuz had also been disrupted.
