HRANA reported that, by a ruling from Branch 23 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, Khosro Mohammadi-Nia, Masoud Toushmalani and Sirowan Shebani, three of those detained in the December 2024 protests, were sentenced to death. According to this report, the three citizens are currently held in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj.

HRANA wrote that, among the charges attributed to these three citizens in this case, “waging war against God (moharebeh), assembly and conspiracy with the intent to disrupt the country’s security, and operational action in favor of hostile states” are listed, and this sentence was issued with the signatures of Judge Kerami and Judge Taqizadeh.

These three citizens from Kermanshah were arrested by security forces in one of the streets in Islamshahr in December 2024 during nationwide protests.
