HRANA reported that Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced four Turkish civil activists, Abbas Lasoni, Youssef Kary, Behzad Dashti, and Ali Khayrjo, to prison terms.
Based on the issued verdict, Lasoni was sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison for the charges of “forming and leading a group with the aim of disrupting the country’s security” and “gathering and conspiring to commit crimes against the country’s security,” and his mobile phone will also be confiscated.
Kary and Dashti were each sentenced to 10 years in prison for the charges of “membership in a group with the aim of disrupting the country’s security” and “gathering and conspiring to commit crimes against the country’s security.” Khayrjo was sentenced to five years in prison for the charge of “gathering and conspiring to commit crimes against the country’s security.”
These four civil activists were arrested on 20 Aban 1404 (10 November 2025) in front of Evin Prison during their support for the sit-in by the families of Taher Nakovi and Vavud Asadi, two political prisoners held in this prison.
Lasoni and Kary, after more than eight months, are still being held in Room 12 of Andarzgah Seven of Evin Prison. Khayrjo and Dashti were previously released on bail of six billion tomans each.
