“Shargh” newspaper on Monday, 12 Mordad 1405, quoting “Meyssar al-Shammari,” a Iraqi politician, reported that Baghdad has begun diplomatic moves aimed at “intermediation between the Islamic Republic and the United States,” “bringing the two sides’ views closer,” and “containing regional tensions.”

As reported by Shargh, al-Shammari said that “Ali al-Zaidi,” the prime minister of Iraq, is pursuing these diplomatic efforts in order to prevent the scope of hostilities from expanding in the region.
