Hackers have stolen more from Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, than from the entire cryptocurrency market combined over the past two years. The incident has become a "black swan" event for the industry, the Digital Financial Assets and Digital Currencies Expert Center of the Association of Banks of Russia told TASS.

Despite the scale of the attack, it is premature to speak of critical flaws in Binance’s security system. It is more likely a case of social engineering, the center explained.
