Gadi Eisenkot, the leader of the Yesh Atid party, in remarks accused Benjamin Netanyahu and Likud of “launching an organized campaign to discredit the election results” and said he would not allow any disruption during the inauguration ceremony of the new parliament.

Eisenkot said: “What is now clear is that Likud and Netanyahu have begun a coordinated and organized campaign to discredit the results of the elections. They do this because they have lost and do not have a majority.”

He also said: “Foreign interference in Israel’s elections is a serious and unacceptable act, especially if a country like Qatar is involved, which provides financial support to terrorism and Hamas. It should be investigated whether they tried to influence the elections, and if so, through which individuals they acted.”

The Yesh Atid party leader announced the preparation of plans for compulsory military service and national service for all citizens of Israel, the formation of a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 attacks, and reforming the budgeting mechanism.
