The foreign ministers of Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, during separate calls with the Saudi Arabia foreign affairs minister, while expressing support for the country against attacks “by pseudo-militants affiliated with the Islamic Republic” in Iraq and Yemen, emphasized the necessity of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister of Kuwait, and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of Bahrain, in a call with Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, also discussed de-escalation and condemned attacks linked to the Islamic Republic.

These senior diplomats emphasized “the importance of continuing efforts to reduce tensions.”
