🔻Fatemah Moghayerani, spokesperson of the Iranian government, in response to a question about the blocking of the “Football 360” program by Adel Ferdowsipour, said: “Regarding the incident that happened to Mr. Ferdowsipour, I was traveling in the south, and after I returned I contacted him and told him that I will follow up on the matter.”
Ms. Moghayerani said that after this incident, Masoud Pezeshkian issued an order on 5 Mordad under which the limiting of websites must be carried out after approval by the High Council for Virtual Space Management and by order of the president.
On Tir 29, the “Football 360” program was broadcast with a delay only on YouTube and Instagram, and Adel Ferdowsipour, in explaining the delay, said that “a few moments before the program they realized that the website and the app of the program had been taken out of access.” He went on, pointing to the pressures that had been brought to bear on him, and said: “I will not become a yes-your-whatever [servile] person; I was not and I will not be.”
After “Football 360” was blocked, the release of a video of Adel Ferdowsipour alongside the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance at a ceremony honoring Akbar Abdî generated many reactions and controversies on social networks.
