Farzin Nademi, senior researcher in defense and security affairs, said that the increase in security warnings in Europe is the result of the intensification of Russia’s hybrid attacks and intelligence reports about the expansion of these threats. He added that Moscow, with limited attacks, cyberattacks, and drone strikes, is trying to blur the line between war and peace and reduce NATO countries’ sensitivity to these actions.

Nademi said that, in response, NATO member countries are seeking to prevent these attacks from becoming normalized by increasing drills, strengthening defensive readiness, and issuing security warnings. According to him, the rise in these threats has led European countries to prepare themselves for the possibility of broader Russian attacks in the coming years.
