🔻Ehsan Hadadi, head of the Athletics Federation, reported on an urgent meeting with the runners who took part in the Asian Games, in an interview.

🔹He said: “I arranged a meeting with our athletes at 4 a.m. Thursday at the airport. I have to tell our athletes that they can, like many female athletes, go virtual with 30,000, 50,000, or 300,000 followers, or they can become champions. Maybe in two weeks you won’t get this much attention.”

🔹Previously, Farzaneh Fasehi, Iran’s Olympic runner who had previously supported the National Iranian Revolution, revealed that she had been under pressure in recent months.

🔹She said that despite having earned a quota spot, she was not allowed to register for the World Championship events.

🔹Two weeks ago, Alénaz Kompani, an Iranian 100m/110m hurdles runner and record-holder in the 60-meter hurdles event for Iran, announced her immigration to the United States to try to achieve a better future.

🔹Earlier, Maryam Touzai, an Iranian female runner who holds the women’s indoor 200-meter record in Iran, had also immigrated to the United States.

🔹At the Asian Games in Nagoya, Ali Amirián won silver in the 800 meters, and Zahra Zarei won silver in the 400 meters.
