🔻Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that one of the pilots of an Emirates Fly Dubai plane was apparently trying to crash the aircraft after an attack with a knife on another pilot, and has now been detained.

Mr. Netanyahu said that he spoke with one of the Israeli passengers on the flight. The passenger described that the plane “began to turn and its altitude decreased.”

According to the Israeli prime minister, the passenger said that he “in some way managed to enter the cockpit along with one of the crew members, and together they restrained the pilot who had carried out the stabbing; the pilot had carried out the attack while attempting to disable the aircraft’s systems.”

Mr. Netanyahu said that another crew member “entered the cockpit and was able to bring the plane back to a stable state.” He praised the “heroes” who “saved many lives and prevented a major disaster.”
