Donald Trump told ABC News that he has received calls from people who are dissatisfied with Pete Hegseth, but that he still “is completely intent” on keeping him in the position of Secretary of Defense.

The remarks were made as Republican representative Thomas Massie intends to put forward next week a motion to impeach Hegseth for a vote, and, according to several Republican sources, the measure is expected to pass. Trump also confirmed that the confirmation of the new Secretary of Defense will be easier before the Democrats begin taking control of Congress in January.
