Kamala Harris, Biden’s vice president during his presidency, told the Associated Press that she is pleased with the geographic, ideological, and generational breadth of Democrats’ victories in the midterm elections, and that these results cannot be placed into a simple party or country-based category.
Harris said Democrats must deliver tangible results for voters from all demographic groups on the issues of the economy and civil rights. She added that, regardless of her decision about running in the 2028 presidential election, she intends to play a role in setting the party’s course and highlighting the issues in which she has experience.
