Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that despite support from factions with a total of 67 seats for Gadi Eisenkot to form a government, it is still not clear who has the ability to form a government. Herzog said factions with a total of 46 seats have proposed Benjamin Netanyahu, and mutual vetoes between blocs and within them have complicated the situation. He said he will hold talks with some party leaders to clarify the situation and will assign the mandate to form a government on Sunday.
