Haley Stevens, the Democratic representative of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives, on Wednesday, 13 Aban, after the victory of Abd al-Saeed, the Democratic Senate nominee, announced that she is not regretting her decision to support Mike Rogers, her Republican rival.

Stevens wrote on the social media platform X: “I don’t regret my decision, but I’m really sorry that I upset some colleagues and people close to me.”

She, emphasizing her support for Israel, cited as reasons for her opposition to the nominee the connection between al-Saeed and Hossam Piker, a left-leaning media figure, and said she will continue fighting antisemitism.
