🔸Donald Trump, the U.S. president, says talks with Iran will begin Monday afternoon, ۱۲ Mordad, but he did not explain the venue, the participants, or a possible deadline for reaching an agreement.

🔸At the same time, Iranian state media reported a phone conversation between Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister, and the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, as well as the commander of Pakistan’s army, regarding diplomatic efforts.

🔸Trump has repeatedly threatened to escalate the war that he, together with Israel, began against Iran in the month of Esfand, but each time he has given more time for negotiations—talks that, so far, have not led to a comprehensive agreement. Trump’s visible de-escalation after several days of mutual threats of fresh attacks was the latest turn in this war.
