🔻BBC’s analysis of satellite images of extensive construction operations near two Iranian missile sites

BBC’s analysis of satellite images shows that Iran is carrying out extensive construction operations near two important missile sites, and that repairs at other sites that were damaged during the war with the United States and Israel are still ongoing.

Experts believe these images indicate that Iran is likely carrying out measures to increase the protection of its military facilities against possible future airstrikes, including the creation of protective cover for important munitions.

Investigations by BBC’s verification section show that these repairs involve at least 12 military sites.

One of these locations is a military complex in eastern Tehran where—despite repeated airstrikes—damaged buildings and their debris have been cleared.
