The Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning attacks by “terrorist proxy militias” affiliated with the Islamic Republic, against Saudi Arabia, asked the UN Security Council to take immediate action in this regard.
Bahrain asked the council to issue a resolution holding the Islamic Republic and its affiliated proxy forces accountable and to compel them to take the necessary steps to stop the attacks, respect neighboring countries, ensure freedom of navigation in international waters, and secure energy and global trade.
Bahrain also strongly condemned the renewed “terrorist” efforts to target oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. Bahrain noted that these attacks were carried out by “terrorist proxy militias affiliated with the Islamic Republic” and using drones that again took off from Iraqi territory.
