🔻Baghaei: Iran is pursuing the UK’s international responsibility for its participation in the US attack

The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic accused Britain of “participation in aggression” against Iran and said Tehran is pursuing the “international responsibility” of Britain in this regard. Ismail Baghaei said: “London knows that Iran is pursuing Britain’s international responsibility for its participation in aggression against Iran. It is clear to everyone what role Britain has played in this war, and NATO’s Secretary General has also acknowledged that European bases were used in the aggression against Iran.”

Mr. Baghaei also referred to the summoning of the British ambassador to Iran in response to “accusations” by the British government regarding the Fordward case: “By presenting Britain as a country with hostile intentions toward Iran, they did not deny the fact that in practice Britain has carried out hostile action against Iran.”

Last week, a security incident occurred near the Fervord airbase, where heavy US bombers are stationed, and the United States Air Force used it in the recent war with Iran. Five Britons and one British-Iranian were arrested in connection with this case and were then released on bail.

The British prime minister says his government believes that Iran played a role in this incident.

Iran has strongly condemned any connection of this matter to Tehran.
