🔻An hour after UEFA, by publishing a statement, announced that it had received all documents related to the “Negreira case” from Real Madrid, Real Madrid also issued a statement and asked UEFA to act in this case with the utmost speed.
🔹In this statement, Real Madrid said it had provided “documents about events of extraordinary importance that directly affect the integrity of competition and trust in the refereeing system.”
🔹On Thursday, UEFA announced that after receiving thousands of documents from Real Madrid, it had reactivated its review of the Negreira case involving Barcelona.
🔹UEFA intends to examine Barcelona’s payment of 8.4 million euros to Enríquez Negreira between 2001 and 2018.
🔹Meanwhile, after UEFA’s statement, Barcelona announced that UEFA has not opened any new case against the club: “This case was opened at the beginning of 2023 by appointing two investigators, and since then they have carried out actions that they deemed necessary. The club has always responded to all requests from them. This case has not been reopened because it was never closed.”
