Alhurra Network reported that Oman is seeking a multilateral mechanism to manage the Strait of Hormuz in order to prevent the Islamic Republic from exercising unilateral control over this waterway.

Rouhollah Rahimpour, a journalist and political analyst, told Iran International that with the U.S. maritime blockade and Oman’s lack of cooperation, Tehran can no longer use the strait as leverage or a bargaining card in negotiations.
