Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, wrote a message addressed to the people of Iran.
Netanyahu wrote: “I receive the messages of Iranians around the world and I am aware of their hope for the freedom of Iran.”
Netanyahu wrote: “The people of Iran deserve to live in freedom, security, and dignity.” By referring to repression and killings by the Islamic Republic, he said that people who have been affected by this repression should not be overlooked.
He emphasized: “I will continue to defend the freedom and rights of the people of Iran with a clear voice.” Netanyahu added that he and Donald Trump, the president of the United States, will do everything they can to achieve a future alongside “security, freedom, and peace.”
The Israeli prime minister also expressed hope that one day children in Tehran and Jerusalem will grow up in great peace, visit each other’s countries, get to know one another, and he wrote that he will continue his efforts to bring about such a future.
