🔻According to Saba News Agency, the Houthis in Yemen on Thursday claimed responsibility for a drone attack on an Aramco oil company refinery in southern Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis-affiliated news agency, citing a military source, reported: “Yemen’s armed forces targeted the Aramco refinery in the Jizan region using two drones and, thanks to God, delivered a precise strike.”

The source said the attack was a response to “Saudi Arabia’s violation of airspace and Yemen’s sovereignty in the provinces of Saada and Hajja.”

Saba, citing the same military source, said: “Yemen’s armed forces will continue carrying out their mission of a firm response to any violation of sovereignty or aggression against Yemen and the people of this country.”

The ceasefire in place between the Houthis and the Saudi-supported government of this country effectively collapsed last month, as fighting intensified between the regional allies of the United States and Iran. In July, the Houthis announced a Saudi maritime blockade and attacked its oil tankers in the Red Sea. 📷Gallo Images via Getty
