🔻Khatam al-Anbiya Garrison: Trump’s claim about US control of the Strait of Hormuz is a “lie”
The central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya described statements by Donald Trump, the president of the United States, claiming that he has control over the Strait of Hormuz, as a “lie,” and said that this waterway remains under Iran’s control.
Ibrahim Zolfaghari, the spokesperson for this garrison, said that the United States’ claim about the normal passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz is “nothing but lies and tall tales.”
He also said that no commercial ship or oil tanker can pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz without the permission and supervision of Iran’s armed forces.
Earlier, Hossein Taeb, the new head of the Basij organization, also said that the Strait of Hormuz is “under the management and control of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
On Wednesday, Donald Trump had claimed that the United States has “complete control” of the Strait of Hormuz and said that Iran cannot do anything against the US naval blockade that he called a “steel wall.”
Iran says that ships must coordinate with this country in order to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Tehran has also announced its plan to collect transit tolls from certain vessels. The United States has rejected these claims and says that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway.
