🔸A four-ton piece of a SpaceX rocket that has been drifting in space since last year fell onto the Moon’s surface early Wednesday, 14 Mordad, with high speed.

🔸According to NASA, this impact poses no danger to Earth, but it will create a new crater on the Moon and provide an opportunity for scientific research.

🔸This space debris, which is roughly the size of a school bus, is the second-stage rocket body of the SpaceX Falcon 9.

🔸The Falcon 9 rocket was launched in January to carry two Moonlanders. Its booster returned to Earth, but the upper stage, after placing the moonlanders into their trajectory, remained in space. SpaceX officials say a combination of solar activity and gravitational forces placed this piece on a collision course with the Moon.
