🔸A conference for an “inclusive alternative” in the city of Cologne
🔻Report by Mitra Shajayi
The Inclusive Network Women, Life, Freedom (Iran Alternative) held a conference in the city of Cologne, Germany, on Saturday, September 26 (October 4).
Representatives of Kurdish, Baluch, Turkish, and Arab parties, as well as a representative of the Workers’ Communist Party, attended the conference, along with representatives of human rights groups.
Shirin Shams, the spokesperson for the Inclusive Network Women, Life, Freedom, in response to this question from Deutsche Welle about why representatives of various political parties—which are actually based in the city of Cologne—were not present at the conference, said that invitations had been extended to different parties such as the Iran Left Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, and several other groups and republican parties, but each of them, for different reasons, did not attend.
She says: “Being inclusive means that each of these political forces can represent a part of Iranian society or different movements, and this is a need of today’s Women, Life, Freedom revolution: these forces come together and their strength creates synergy.”
