🗣 Your account of living conditions and the economic crisis — Friday, 17 Mehr:
🔹 I’ve basically lost all my teeth, and for years I’ve been waiting for things to get better so I can get my teeth fixed in order to smile and talk.
🔹 Simple medications and domestically produced drugs like codeine, clonazepam, insulin, and Asentra are scarce in pharmacies, but the same ones are plentiful in the black market and are available.
🔹 I managed to get only three types of blood pressure and heart medication for my father; it came to 8.5 million. The rest, I didn’t have the money for. Insulin is also not available. Previously, these drugs couldn’t even be bought for 500 tomans.
🔹 Flouxetin tablets can’t be found in pharmacies; if you do find them, they’re not foreign.
🔹 I’ve taken on a tailoring student’s design course and I have to buy a sewing machine to use as my work tool. But you can’t find a good one for under 150 million.
🔹 From Karaj: The “ranking” system of the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran is baseless and without support in the air. I don’t have a house, not a car, and no free income; I’m in Quintile 9 with a monthly allowance of 18 tomans.
🔹 From Kermanshah: Unemployment and poverty are rampant here. People buy meat skeletons and chicken gizzards from butcher shops.
