🗣 Your account of living conditions and the economic crisis—Friday, 10 Mehr:

🔹For 4 months now, I’ve shut down my shop after 8 years, with a lot of bounced checks and unpaid installments. I can’t make ends meet for buying my wife’s medicines, and she has MS. My income is now zero; the economic situation is very bad.

🔹From Mashhad: For 7 months, two of my teeth have fallen out—completely empty. I went for an examination; they said I need root canal treatment and fillings. They quoted 9 million and 500 thousand toman for each one. I went back home empty-handed.

🔹I’m very, very upset that today I bought “installment clothing.” We should never have let things get to a point where everything has to be bought on installments.

🔹I have Social Security insurance. The money for my medicines is paid with insured coverage of 8 million. Some medicines, they said, are supplements and must be calculated as cash/without insurance. But that supplement that the doctor prescribed—if I don’t take it, I feel worse. It’s not an optional medicine.

🔹I run an online shop, and because of severe Telegram filtering, no matter how many accounts I create, they get frozen. How is a person supposed to make money? There’s no work, and we do business online too—should it be like this, and should we pay out of our own pockets?

🔹For months now, I’ve had toothache, and I can’t afford the cost of filling the tooth or having it pulled. I work, but I’m out of money. How ashamed will we make our kids? How much do we have to say that we don’t have anything?

🔹I have a bachelor’s degree in nursing with 10 years of work experience, and I get about 80 thousand toman per hour for overtime.
