🗣Your account: Living under the shadow of war and military tensions — Wednesday, 14 Mordad
🔹They have increased water, electricity, telephone, and gas bills by 20 times, and we also have power outages.
🔹You buy a 30-day internet package, and within 2 to 3 days it’s all used up. As that friend who wrote said, they take the loss from internet outages out of the people themselves.
🔹From Tehran: we are a couple and both of us are employees who are only at home at night. Last month, the electricity bill was 76,000 tomans and the water bill was 120,000 tomans, but this month the electricity bill is 240,000 tomans and the water bill is 730,000 tomans.
🔹When we pay the water bill, less than a month has passed and they send another bill—also ten times. The electricity bill has also increased by several times. People are struggling under the hardship of living, so how can they pay million-toman bills for water and electricity? Once again the issue of budget shortages came up, and again they reached into the pockets of the people—this thieving, incompetent government.
🔹We live in District 1 of Tehran, and in a six-unit building. Usually, gas consumption is only for the heating system in winter. For 50 days, a gas bill has been issued for 760 million tomans.
🔹From Hashtgerd: the water bill for our villa home has always come to between 600,000 and 800,000 tomans, but now it has come to 23 million tomans. Our minds are spinning. They don’t sell oil, and they pull out the money this way from the people’s pockets.
🔹A few years ago I had a landline at a shop. I closed the shop due to the market slump, and the phone line remained, and of course there was no debt. Now I’ve received an SMS saying that I owe 1,200,000 tomans for my subscription—oppression, theft, plunder.
