With intensifying economic pressures and U.S. sanctions against the Islamic Republic, the range of restrictions has expanded to banks, money changers, and financial networks linked to Iran.
Ali Dadpay, an economist, said in reference to these pressures that the Islamic Republic has imposed a major economic crisis on the country, and no government has been able to come out of such a situation safely so far.
